I have often found myself doubting whether God is pleased with me. Or whether God sees my life and then sighs and shakes His head.
I try to live a holy life, I try to pray, stay away from deliberate sin, repent when I sin, worship and read the word. I’m trying my best on the “works” front of my faith. But the question is what pleases God and am I doing it:
Faith :
“And it is impossible to please God without faith. Anyone who wants to come to him must believe that God exists and that he rewards those who sincerely seek him. Hebrews 11:6 NLT
Our weakness which needs His strength:
“You are their glorious strength. It pleases you to make us strong.” Psalms 89:17 NLT
Living under the spirit:
“That’s why those who are still under the control of their sinful nature can never please God.” Romans 8:8 NLT
Through these scriptures it is apparent that it is relatively easy to please God. God is pleased when we submit ourselves to the Holy Spirit so that the Holy Spirit produces faith, gives us strength to admit our weakness and when it walks with us.
Prayer:
Lord help us to please you. You are everything to us, the beginning and the end and our purpose is fulfilled when we live our lives pleasing you.
You are enough to God
As I said earlier, on the “works” front of my faith I am really trying. However, is that where my value is in God’s eyes? Am I valuable to God because I pray, read scriptures or stay away from deliberate sin?
God wants to love you:
“I want you to show love, not offer sacrifices. I want you to know me more than I want burnt offerings. Hosea 6:6 NLT
God’s call on your life is unchanging no matter how far you’ve strayed:
“For the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable [for He does not withdraw what He has given, nor does He change His mind about those to whom He gives His grace or to whom He sends His call].” Romans 11:29 AMP
Where is obeying the law in all this:
“Well then, if we emphasize faith, does this mean that we can forget about the law? Of course not! In fact, only when we have faith do we truly fulfill the law.” Romans 3:31
GUIDED PRAYER VERSES:
“As the deer longs for streams of water, so I long for you, O God.”Psalms 42:1 NLT
Our Father, you are the source of it all. The source of the air in my lungs, so Father I long for you as I long for the air in my lungs. Help me to abide in you .
“Teach me your ways, O Lord, that I may live according to your truth! Grant me purity of heart, so that I may honor you.”Psalms 86:11 NLT
Lord my nature is sinful. I am made up of things that detest righteousness. Teach me how to be like your Son, holy and loving you in all things.
“Bend down, O Lord, and hear my prayer; answer me, for I need your help.”Psalms 86:1 NLT
Lord, restore us Father. Please hear our prayers, we need your help to love you. Holy Spirit please be with us.

I really like the verse in Hosea because it reminds us that God is not about the big gestures of faith. It’s in the secret place where He wants to meet us and our faith.
